Playing Chess Files On Your Computer
I recommend that you use DBSChess to play through .pgn chess files. With DBSchess you can play through pgn [and DBSChess] files, do your own files for games or opening analysis. You can import games from other formats - Chess Assistant/ Fritz etc. With DBS you can put in as many variations as you wish simply by playing the moves on screen, and add comment to every move etc. and exchange DBS files with your friends or even play email chess if you wish. You can go back to the last divergence of the moves with one click.
YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL DBSChess FIRST before you can use the DBS files listed.
If you have a previous version of DBSChess on your computer you should back up your DBSChess files first.
R I G H T   C L I C K on the file and choose save target as option etc. DBSChess takes several minutes to download. Then you can install DBSChess on your computer, before returning to download DBSChess files listed.
If you decide to register DBS (to eliminate the registration reminder) it only costs 6.
