Racing has always been a huge part of my life. From little on up I have always attended racing events of all sorts. Once old enough to enter the pit area, I have been working on race cars as a crew member for various different teams in my area. My grandfather raced many years ago at the Nazareth Speedway in Pennsylvania where he raced against a legend by the name of Mario Andretti. He always said to me "I'll never forget racing door handle to door handle with one of racings biggest stars of all time".
I got into simulation racing when Nascar Racing 2 became available. I never raced online until Nascar Racing 3 came out. Now this has become a major part of my life, seems to be an addiction. I enjoy racing against other human opponents much more than just the computer, it gave a whole new life to this game for me.
When I started racing online, I would just go into the arenas and race, and race, and race, and started to compete fairly well. I ran into a guy one night that told me I should join a racing league, and told me he would refer me to the league administrator. WR_AlexXX happened to be the admin. that gave me a shot in the WRL, my first league. My goal was to just race hard and clean and earn respect from other drivers. After a short time, WR_AlexXX invited me to join the Wolf Racing Team. I was overwhelmed with this. As time went on, I decided to start my own team. Which brings us to Rolling Thunder Motorsports. This was an idea thrown around for a while with RTM-YLE, and RTM-Geoffrey and myself. We are all in the same area and thought it would be cool if we had our own team. Once we started the team we welcomed a guy by the name of RTM-Chance. We got to know Chance pretty good online and he was interested in joining our team, so we got him aboard.
As for my personnal life, I am married to a beautiful wife Debbie. She also happens to be my very best friend in the world. I have to thank her for all her patience with me when it comes to my online racing addiction. We have a beautiful daughter Bryanna which is 4 years old. She is the greatest joy in our lives. She is already becoming a race fan! We also have 2 dogs, a Rottweiler (Gordon) and a Chocolate Lab (Sasha) and also a cat named Cali.
I am employed by KME Fire Apparatus, which is one of the largest fire apparatus manufacturer in the world. I do lettering and graphics there. I also have a little side business doing hand lettering and graphics on the side. |
