| I heard the Prophet
(Sal-allahu-aleihi-wassallam) saying, "Shall I tell you of the people of Paradise?
They comprise every poor humble person, and if he swears by Allah to do something, Allah
will fulfill it; while the people of the fire comprise every violent, cruel arrogant
person." [Vol 8:#651] |

| Allah's Messenger
(Sal-allahu-aleihi-wassallam) said, "If anyone dies free from pride, unfaithfulness
regarding spoil, and debt, he will enter Paradise." [2921] |

| The Prophet
(Sal-allahu-aleihi-wassallam) said: A person who persistently keeps himself aloof from
people and behaves insolently, so much so that his name is counted among the arrogant, he
is meted out the same punishment which is earmarked for insolent persons. [5111] |

Tirmidhi transmitted it.
(Mishkat) |
| Malik said,
"Messenger of Allah (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wassallam) tell me, if I come to a man who
gives me no entertainment or hospitality and he afterwards comes to me, shall I give him
entertainment or treat him as he treated me?" He replied, "No, give him
entertainment." [4248] |
