The Prophet (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) said, "Avoid the
seven great destructive sins." The people enquire, "O Allah's Apostle! What are
they? " He said:

| "To join others in worship along with
Allah, |
| to practice sorcery, |
| to kill the life which Allah has forbidden
except for a just cause (according to Islamic law), |
| to eat up riba (usury), |
| to eat up an orphan's wealth, |
| to give back to the enemy and fleeing from
the battlefield at the time of fighting, |
| and to accuse chaste women, who never even
think of anything touching chastity and are good believers." |

The Prophet
(Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) said, "There are three who will not enter paradise: one
who is addicted to wine, one who breaks ties of relationship, and one who believes in
magic (means using it)." |

witchcraft." |

Some people asked
Allah's Apostle (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) about the foretellers. He said. -They are
nothing." They said, O Allah's Apostle (Sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam)! Sometimes they
tell us of a thing which turns out to be true." Allah's Apostle
(Sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said, "A Jinn snatches that true word and pours it into
the ear of his friend (the foreteller) (as one puts something into a bottle). The
foreteller then mixes with that word one hundred lies." |

Allah's Apostle
(Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) said, "Whoever comes to fortune-tellers, and ask him
about something, his prayer is not accepted for forty nights." |

Allah's Apostle
(Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) said, "Whoever learns astrology learns a branch of
sorcery. He adds what he likes. |

Allah's Apostle

not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them." |
