Unlike the BCS computer polls, my rating incorporates the margin of victory of games played between Div1A teams. Like a lot of computer rankings I use a reiterative process. Each team starts with the same rating. Each game is rated based on the score of the game and opponent's ratings. The average value of all games played becomes the new rating for each team. After 50 to 100 cycles the ratings become stable. I limit the victory margin to 26 point and I favor teams with strong defenses. It aint perfect but no poll is.
