| Here's one of my many attemps at designing a subway/commuter rail car(or cars in this case). This is the NAMTRAC NHR-337R Minor II series Rail Cars. NHR stands for "Namtrac Heavy Rail". The 337 is just the model number. The Minor series rail cars is a concept ive come up with. The Minor I's are single units, the Minor II's are mated or "joined" units which means they are connected for the rest of there service life(and yes they can be disconnected for mechanical repair reasons). This Rail Car has a top speed of 85mph,which is the fastest you would want to take one of these little things up to anyway. They are only 52 feet long, making them rather short and ideal for Subway use, although they do above ground runs. | |||||

| Here's another attempt at 3-D type bus designing. This one is one of the many Low-Floor Transit bus designs ive come up with. Its called the NAMTRAC NTC-10240LF. Once again, the NTC means "Namtrac Transit Coach" and the 10240LF prefix means the bus is 102 inches wide,40 feet long and the LF means "Low Floor". If you cant see the tech specs, look below NAMTRAC NTC-10240LF Powerplant- 330hp Cummins ISL-330E Transmission- Allison B400R ATEC of 5 gears and built in retarder Length- 40 feet long 102 inches wide Curb Weight- 37,000bls Fuel Load- 125 gallons of diesel fuel Range- 625 miles @ 5 Miles Per Gallon (MPG) Status - Prototype |
