Depart Tel Aviv via the coastal road to the Roman capitol of Caesarea to
visit the famous Amphitheater and Aqueduct. Continue to Haifa to see its
Bahai Temple. Continue to Acco, an ancient port city steeped in History.
Enjoy lunch and proceed to the Galilee to your kibbutz.

DINNER & OVERNIGHT:  Kibbutz Ayelet Hashachar

Monday, 22 May, 2000

Drive to the Golan Heights and visit the beautiful waterfalls at the
Banias Springs, one of the sources of the Jordan River. Continue to
Cappernaum and the center of Jesus's Ministry to see the ruins of an
ancient synagogue. Drive to Tabcha and visit the site of the miracle of
the loaves and fish. Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, followed
by a unique St. Peters fish lunch. Continue to Yardenite, the place
where baptism takes place, before returning to the kibbutz.

Tuesday, 23 May, 2000

Depart kibbutz and drive to Nazareth to visit the Church of the
Annunciation. Continue via the Jordan Valley and Jehrico, the lowest and
oldest inhabited city on earth. Continue for a picnic lunch at Wadi Kelt
for a magnificent view of the Judian desert and the ancient monasteries
in the area. Continue to Jerusalem.

Wednesday, 24 May, 2000

Tour the Old City of Jerusalem beginning at the Mt. of Olives for a
breathtaking view of the entire city spread out below.  Enter the Old
City through the Jewish Quarter to view the Byzantine Cardo and the
Herodian Mansions.  Visit the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock on
the Temple Mount.  Walk along the Via Dolorosa to see the Church of the
Holy Sepulchre. Stop for lunch. Drive to Bethlehem and visit the Church
of the Nativity.  In the evening dinner at Cardo Collinarium, a Roman style restaurant.

OVERNIGHT:  Jerusalem

Thursday, May 25, 2000

Descend through the Judean Wilderness, via the Inn of the Good
Samaritan, to the lowest place on earth - the Dead Sea.  Drive along the
shore to the base of Masada, the last stronghold of the Jews against the
Romans. Ascend by cable car and tour this mountaintop fortress including
Herod's palace, an ancient synagogue and a bathhouse.  After descending,
enjoy lunch then drive to a nearby oasis and enjoy an opportunity to
swim or  "float" in the unique waters of the Dead Sea. Continue to Herzilia
