Responsibilities: Development of import/export module.
Details : The salesperson of above
client already uses QuickSize software for valve configuration. DFCD and
we jointly developed this application. It is newly developed customer version
of QuickSize. The application contains sizing and selection of valves with
export/import of data.
Client : M/s. Dresser Valve Division, Avon, USA. – DVD Utils
Platform : Visual Basic 6.0, MS Access, Oracle 8.0.
Responsibilities: Project leader, Responsible for communication
between on-site and off-site teams, Development of import/export module,
Documentation.
Details : The client uses 2Order’s GST software to manage
the quotes of various customers including valve configuration. The application
developed contains various utilities to overcome the deficiencies of GST.
The application runs on access or oracle and contains the utilities such
as flat-file generator, export, import, version update, database management,
compact database.
Client : M/s. Dresser Flow Control Division, Avon, USA. – Time
Sheet Management
Platform : Visual Basic 6.0, MS Access.
Responsibilities: R and D on True DBGrid 7.0, Time sheet entry
module.
Details : This is Client-Server application developed
for time sheet management. DCOM technology is used in the application.
The application is used by employees to enter the hours worked on various
projects and the administrator to keep track on projects. The application
provides various statistical reports such as hours worked by employees
on a project, total hours taken by a project, total hours worked by a department
on a project, missing time sheets of employees, employees who worked less
than 48 hours in week, etc.
Client : M/s. Masoneilan Dresser Valve Division, Avon, USA.
– Central Repository
Platform : Visual Basic 6.0, Oracle 8 and Crystal Reports 5.0.
Responsibilities: Database Design for Central Repository and
Development of the System.
Details : The company has 22 manufacturing locations,
with each of them having a different MRP system with different coding methods
for salesperson, product & customer. There was a need for centralised
information system. For that we studied their existing software i.e. GST
& another third party software i.e. Synchrologic. Designed Central
Database Server, analysed & implemented Synchrologic Software. Developed
the application required to manage Central Database Server. The application
is able to validate & manage quotes and line items. The application
can transfer data as per requirements for MRP System’s use. The application
is able to receive the feedback and updated information from MRP systems.
Client : Everest Group of Companies, Mumbai. – Billing and
Accounting
Platform : Developer 2000, Oracle 8.0.
Responsibilities: Responsibility from design till deployment of application.
Details : The group is a leader in the print industry.
They specialize in digital printing of calendars, magazines, corporate
promotional material and hoarding. The objective was to create a customized
billing, accounting & payroll system. The application was developed
for multiple companies within the same group. The flexibility of the package
allowed the user to specify different rates, discounts, discountable and
non discountable items at client level.
Client : M/s. Patel Roadways Ltd., Mumbai - HRD & Payroll
System
Platform : Visual Basic 5.0, DB2 (Win NT) and Crystal
Reports 5.0.
Responsibilities: Database Design and developing the System.
Details : M/s. Patel Roadways Ltd., one of the biggest
road transport company, having more than 600 branches with 2000 employees
across the country. There was a need to develop centralised salary processing
system.
The key features of the system are:
1) Provision to define earnings or deductions at the levels of branch,
grade, union.
2) Provision to define area wise application of ESIC & Professional
Tax.
3) The application takes care of different benefits & allowances
applicable to different grades & different unions.
4) The system is designed to accommodate any new requirements, modifications
in company as well as government policies without any modifications to
the programs.
5) The entire payroll system is definition based & no hard coding
is done.
Client : Galvano Casting Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. - MRP
Platform : D2K and Oracle 8.
Responsibilities: Database Designing, Developing the System,
Reports & Graphs.
Details : The client Galvano Casting Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore
is an ISO-9000 certified company. The project is a customised MRP system.
It was an on site project including the system and feasibility study of
their existing manual system and designing of the same. The modules of
application included Marketing, Planning, Pattern, Production, QC, Dispatch,
Purchase, Personnel, Inventory & Accounting.
Title : Human Resource Management System
Platform : Visual Basic 5.0, MS Access.
Responsibilities: Database Design, Developing the System.
Details : The project was done during DAC
course. The system was developed for HR department to handle various functions
of HR Manager. The system keeps information about employees such as personal
information, salaries, leaves, holidays, accounts, etc.
Title : Microprocessor Based Telephone System
Hardware : 8085 Microprocessor
and other peripheral chips such as 8255, 8279,8259, etc.
Responsibilities: 8085 Programming.
Details : The project was done during
graduation. The device is a digital telephone cum diary with a direct dial
up facility. There is facility for adding, updating, locking, deleting
and searching the information. The information consisted of Name, Address,
Tel. No., etc. Other facilities include fast dialing, messaging, alarm
setting and reminder facilities.
