The next option for ranging is the crossbow. I suggest you use the bow and arrow because, even though they cost 70gp, crossbow bolts cost 4-6gp.

| Ranging can be an important skill, especially in the wild. I suggest you start this early on in the game. There are two ways to range... bow and arrows (long bow or short bow.) The long bow costs 80gp, but the arrows are 3-4gp each (or they can go for 30gp in world one to those who need them). Short bows are 50gp each. The next option for ranging is the crossbow. | If you attack a monster which can reach you (ie, not behind a table), it will attack you. Fighting in groups (1 hand- to -hand, 1 ranging) can be very effective. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| To use a crossbow/bow, you must right click the item, and click weild (item). If you are attacking something to go up ranging levels, go to a place like to the building in Barbarians Village and stand behind a the tables, or find somewhere else where you can stand behind something to shoot.
