Before retiring, Ginni was the office coordinator and lead secretary for the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa. When Ginni is not volunteering for RSVP, she loves to read and may be reading as many as five different books at one time!
Ginni is involved in many RSVP programs including Rock & Read, Pen Pals and courthouse mediation. She is also a member of the RSVP Advisory Council. Ginni has been volunteering for RSVP for six years. Ginni values giving back to the community and this is what motivates her committment to the RSVP program. The most memorable part of volunteering for RSVP is the looks on the children's faces when they achieve their literacy goal. This is so rewarding. To Ginni, volunteering is not a duty but a gift - - "Doing something good for someone else is the greatest reward you can have in this life."
