"Checkers"
In October of 2001, RSVP volunteers from Oaknoll celebrated their outstanding achievement.  This group from Oaknoll, which was started in 1991, has been sewing stuffed "Checkers" elephants for pediatric patients at Mercy Hospital.  The group has been faithfully meeting on the 4th Saturday of the month since 1991 to sew and stuff these cuddly elephants.  In October they reached number 4,000!
Congratulations on 4,000 Oaknoll ladies!
