RSVP stands for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. RSVP is a nationwide program that works through the Corporation for National and Community Service's SeniorCorps program; this particular office operates out of Anderson, Indiana, in the Library Extension Building on 13th street.
RSVP mainly works toward helping senior citizens live more independent and fulfilling lives. To this end, we recruit volunteers (young and old alike) to assist those seniors who need or want help. We do this by placing many volunteers in one of the many facets of the AngelWorx program (through LifeStreams, Inc.).
However, we do place volunteers in other agencies, as well. These include everything from Alternatives, Inc. (a battered women's shelter), to the Humane Society--we even place people with programs like the Paramount Theater! For a more complete listing of our volunteer opportunities, please visit this page.
If you have already selected your particular volunteer opportunity interests, and/or if you would like to sign up with RSVP as a volunteer, please visit this page.
