| You are hosting a holiday party on Saturday, December 8. The party will begin at 5:00 p.m. All guests are to bring an appetizer, side dish, or dessert that will serve at least 15 people. You will provide the main dish--turkey on the grill. The grab bag limit is $20 for adults and $10 for children. Anyone with questions should contact you. |
| 1. Create a form letter (use a template) announcing the holiday party. Place the text, Holiday Party!, at the top of the letter in an AutoShape. Place a drawing canvas behind the Autoshape. Save all the documents in a folder called Holiday Party. --include text color; autoshape fill and line color; 50% transparency on canvas --24 point spacing above the date line --format greeting line to use colon; format date to a different word style --Body of letter is 14 point 2. Obtain the names and addresses of five of your friends or family members and use them as records in the data source. --Delete unnecessary fields; add a new field (this might be helpful in #3) --use an If...Then...Else field which includes two alternatives --print document with field codes --print merge 3. Address accompanying labels and envelopes for the form letters. --Query for four members and print as labels --Query for last two members and print as envelopes 4. Create a new document directory (same data source) which includes all fields. --sort one field in ascending order; include top row of column headings --include a table border; table format --Resize to display all information; print in landscape orientation |
