| Photo Base Contrast |
| 1) Go to Start; Programs; Arc Soft Imaging; PhotoBase. 2) Add the girl picture to a new album called Contrast (picture found in PBPhotos folder). 3) Double click on the girl picture. 4) Click on the Contrast button and a slide appears. Move the slide to the left until it read -128. 5) Click Close button and click Save As; change the location to your network folder; use the filename girl2 for the changed photo. Add girl2 to Contrast album. 6) Using the girl2 photo; repeat the slide change (move to the left -128) and Save as girl3 again in your network folder. Repeat the procedure once more using the filename girl4. 7) Double-click on a different photo; note the editing tools: Crop, Rotate, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Center Crop, Zoom In/Out, Sharpen Image, Undo, Record/Play Audio. Experiment with a few. 8) Save four or more photos using different tools to your network folder. Add these photos to the Contrast album. To Save: click the "X" button in the top right; Save; right-click thumbnail; select Refresh to update the photo. 9) Show the Contrast album to your instructor. |
| Adding Albums |
| 1) Go to Start; Programs; Arc Soft Imaging; PhotoBase 2) Select New in drop-down box in the upper left corner to create a new album. 3) To add photos: click Add tool; select the location and click on one of the files; click Open. To add several images, hold down the shift or control key while clicking on files. Use Shift key to select multiple files next to each other (sequential). Use Control key to select non-sequential files. 4) To acquire photos: click Acquire tool; select the source; click select. 5) Click Save tool to save the current album. Name the album; click OK. (The album can be renamed by clicking in the text box and typing a new name) |
| Change the Contrast (Fading) |
| 1) Open the Contrast album containing the files you want to move/copy. 2) Click once on the first thumbnail to select it. While holding shift, click on last photo. 3) Click Copy Image(s) To from Image Menu. 4) Click Browse and locate your network folder. Create a new folder named "PBContrast". Open the new folder; click copy to confirm. |
