as you know, is one of the best-loved of Gilbert & Sullivan's oper(ett?)as. Pirates land on an island and promptly fall in love with extremely eligible young maidens, who are jealously guarded by the Major General, their father. True love wins in the end, however, and the maidens are wed at last. I acted in this musical twice ... once as Sam, the Pirate King's right hand man and the next time as Fred, the apprentice Pirate.
