is a masterful creation of three facets of the same character. One a drunk, the other a has-been and the third a hypocondriac. Whether these three are of a single person or three separate persons is left for the audience to imagine. They each play against the other's weaknesses and ultimately attempt to murder each other (commit suicide?). A lady friend, played by Tara Thiagarajan, enters the scene, adding further competition and conflict. I played the has-been, who refuses to admit even to himself that he can no longer write. The author, Murray Shishgal also wrote The Flatulist.
