| Starter Motor | ||||||||
| The Starter motor is a very important part of the rs 125, if it does`nt work it means you will be push starting her, which is what happened to me when the starter motor failed on my bike. I got it fixed as a new one is 450euro,bargain! Push starting the bike is a pain in the arse, especially from cold when you need the choke open, thats when a bit `o wire comes in handy. What I learned from when my starter failed was to make sure its earthed right(some of the earthing cables along the bike can come lose) and sealed tight, real tight as I found a ton of crap in my one, even some water made its way in. Due to this the bushes at the top of the starter (inside) were knackered and needed to be replaced. Im glad to say its working grand now. |
