| Getting an aftermarket airfilter will/should let more clean air into your engine faster meaning more hp etc. There are only three types of aftermarket airfilter available for the rs125 that I know of. K&n- I think this is a univeral jobbie, get the diameter of the inlet to the carb and they`ll supply one with the correct size etc. Not to sure on the performance gains, sound or price Pipercross- Do a replacemnt panel filter to fit into the original airbox, dont know about performance gains, should`nt be much louder than stock and cost about 20 sterling.. Pipercross conical- this is what I have fitted (seen below) a complete replacement for the original airbox/filter. It is MUCH louder than the stock filter, sometimes seems too loud at low speeds but ye get used to it. I think it deffintely makes the Rs rev a bit faster, so`s good then, costs about 35sterling, I think thats about 50 Euro? at the time maybe. There`s no cover against the rain and is pretty open, I`ve yet to see, so should be a laugh. |
