Win Me Defrag Install Info for W95B-W98 1st & 2nd Editions

UPDATED:03/22/AD 2001 Please read below if your using W95 or W95A

When you double click on the Me_defrag_install.bat file the following will occur. The Me Defrag batch file will rename the original defrag.exe utility (W98 version # 4.70.1998) to defrag old and install the Me defrag utilityto the C:\Windows folder.(Me version # 4.90.3000)

When the installation has completed & you have tested the utility to your satisfaction you may store or delete the MeDefrag folder & files.
Note: I have received some mail regarding the use of Me Defrag by merely clicking on the file. Yes you could launch it from a floppy if you wanted to but It belongs in the C:\Windows\System folder & if it's not there you won't be able to launch it from Safemode,the Run Box or the System Tools location to name a few.

W95-95A issues: I've had a report of problems using it with a compressed drive using W95A.
I've also had a report that use with W95A & Fat16 has been working fine for several months.
It appears that the compressed drive , not the OS & FAT that was the problem.
