  YOU OWE ME SOME KIND OF LOVE

  Tom Mallon "My first show playing drums (early 1987) was at a club called Nine -- I had never played drums in a
  band before -- I was scared shitless. I'd been working for over a year on the second Chris Isaak LP; making that
  record nearly killed me. Isaak would do these monumental gigs in town, like two or three weeks at a single club,
  playing two or three sets every night (all shows sold out). Nine had recently been the scene of such a tournament;
  I think it drove all who worked there insane. At the show, from Isaak's band, Jimmy Wilsey and Kenny Johnson
  were there, maybe Rolie, too. We had learned Isaak's 'You Owe Me Some Kind of Love' and played it as an
  encore, as a joke. But Mark reworked the lyric (or maybe didn't understand it). So instead of "I don't want to hurt
  you, I don't want to see you cry," he sang, "I just want to hurt you, but I don't want you to die." Mark had a
  tremendous capacity for understanding his audience, for crowd control and for doing what was necessary on the
  spot. A gift."

  This is a list of just a few of the songs Mark Eitzel has written that have never been
  officially released as well as live covers done over the years. Many of these are fantastic
  songs that hopefully will see light of day properly one day.
  If you know of any other unreleased songs not listed here or can provide more info on the
  ones below then please let me know.
  A song with  (?) after it means that I'm only guessing at the title since with a lot of demos
  Mark doesn't bother giving them titles.
  I was going to provide lyrics to these songs but realised that would not be what Mark
  wanted since he chose not to release them.
