Ralph's Family
ONLINE GAMES

Hey! Very good, I see you found my page of games. Lots of stuff to do here. And tons of fun to be had. There ar presently nineteen games that you can play. Some are easy, and some are, well, not so easy. You have probably seen most of them before. Below, you will find a short description of each game. To go to a game, just click on the button for the game you want to play. The game will open in a new window, so all you have to do is close the game window and you will be returned here. So go ahead, venture forth and try your hand at a few.

BASKETBALL

How about shooting some hoops? You don't have to be quick, just accurate. See how many baskets you can score for the Warren Orioles!

BATTLESHIP

Enter into a naval battle against your computer. But watch out, your adversary is not stupid! This is a version of the old classic game of Battleship. Not a "mind bending" game, but - hey what can I say?

BLACK VIPER

Remember the gamd "Nibbles?" Well, maybe not. Black Viper is a java update of that old Basic game. Grab the cherries, don't run into the walls or yourself! See how many levels you can survive.

BUBBLE

Line up three bubbles of the same color and they will fall. Sound easy? It is to begin with, but as you progress the game gets harder. There are ten levels for you to play. This is a Java Applet and takes a bit longer to load but not excessively so. Netscape users may have a problem. Works well with Internet Explorer though.

CASINO

If you are a gambler, this is the place for you - Ralph's Casino! Here you will find three different card games. The classic "Five Card Stud" - "Five Card Draw", with progressive betting, and of course, everyone's favorite - "Black Jack". Place Your Bets! Sorry, no alcohol served.

CONCENTRATION

A version of the classic memory game concentration. Uncover all the blocks by successfully matching the image pairs. I will be changing the images from time to time. Attention Austyn, Shaylyn, and Tyler - this one's for you! But anyone can have fun. Test your memory, give it a go....

CONCENTRATION II

Another concentration type game called "Match and Flip." This is similar to the game above but with a different layout. The images used in this puzzle were designed by my very creative sister, Carol, alias "Puppy Dog!"

CONNECT FOUR

The object of this game is to connect four in a row. Simple!

LINES

You must move various colored balls around and try to place 5 or more of the same color in a straight line. After each turn you get 3 random balls on the field. Each time you place five ( or more ) in a row ( row crossings of the same color are also possible ) - these balls will be removed and you earn points. See how high you can score!

MAGIC SQUARES

Put the numbers in order so that they read 1-8. Sounds easy? It's not. The grid consists of 9 blocks, one is empty, you have to shuffle the pieces to get it right.

MATH QUIZ

Austyn - Shaylyn, this on's for you! Flash cards were pretty good math practice. But, they were always the same math problems, over and over. Lo and behold, Computers to the rescue! Just select the difficulty level then click the type of problem you want to practice with, (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) and Math Quiz will give you a problem. And, a built-in score checker grades you along the way! Great practice for elementary-aged students just learning their math skills, or for anyone wishing to practice a bit!

PICTURE MEMORY

Another concentration type game, but different. Take your time and study the underwater picture very carefully. When you are ready, start the memory test. The game will ask you where you saw the pieces. See if you can get all 15 right! Not as easy as it sounds!

PICTURE PUZZLE

Similar to Magic Squares, but with a picture. Scramble the picture, see if you can put it back together. Check back often as I will be changing the image periodically. Some of you might even recognize the picture!

REDBUGS

Squish the Greenbugs! But don't let the Redbugs bite! They will eat you alive!

ROCKET BLASTER

Use your mouse to aim and shoot at rockets that fly across the screen. It may require some practice timing the shots to compensate for the distances. Interestingly, the game never ends -- just play as long as you want. Wow!

SIMON SAYS

You remember playing Sinon Says, don't you? Of course you do! Recall your childhood with this computer version of Simon Says. Click the buttons in the same order as Simon (the computer) does to advance to the next level. Each level gets increasingly difficult. See how far you can go.

SOKOBAN

Sokoban ( the Japanese name for "warehouse keeper" ) is a strategy game where you have to move boxes across corridors into target squares. You can only push one single box at a time, and you are not able to pull boxes, so you have to take care not to block your way. Sokoban was invented by HIROYUKI IMABAYASHI. The original game Sokoban, copyright 1982, Thinking Rabbit Inc., Japan, is sold as a commercial product in Japan. Try this version out. Sorry, there are only 103 levels that you can play. Put on your "Thinking Cap!"

TIC - TAC - TOE

OK, kids, another one for you. No game page can be complete without good old Tic - Tac - Toe! Try your hand at a real classic....

THE TOWERS OF HANOI

See how you do in this wonderful game of skill and logic. Try to move all the disks onto another pole. Thing is, you can only move one disk at a time and you must follow size order (a bigger disk can't go on a smaller disk). This game is one of the more difficult ones. Good luck!

YAHTZEE

Yahtzee can be played in solitary or by a group. The group version simply consists of a number of players playing the solitary version simultaneously, with the highest score winning. The game consists of 13 rounds. In each round, you roll the dice and then score the roll in one of 13 categories. You must score once in each category -- which means that towards the end of the game you may have to settle for scoring zero in some categories. The score is determined by a different rule for each category. The object of the game is to maximize your total score (of course :-). The game ends once all 13 categories have been scored.
