| My Update: I am so pleased every time that I read an email or a special note left in my guest book. It makes me feel that what I've been through with my chronic pain, may in some small way have helped someone else to cope with their life or a test that they may be faceing. My son will graduate from high school in May, his father and I are so proud of him. He has decided to join the army following his graduation. I am also proud of his courage and his eagerness to better his life. I pray that God will guide him and keep him safe. My little boy is now a man ready to build his future and make a life for himself that he can be proud of. My heart and my love will be with him no matter where his duty may take him. My daughter will soon be a junior in high school and she wants to be a part of the medical field. I admire her strength and her wisdom. She works hard in school and strives to be the very best that she can be. She's already been accepted to several major colleges and has earned several honours at school. Her courage has helped me in so many ways, to see that you can achieve your goals if you are willing to aim for the stars. Both of my children have given me so much more in life than I could ever put into words. To say that I love them, just doesn't come close to expressing my feelings for them. When I think about how much I would have missed if I had allowed my chronic pain to stop me from being a part of their lives, I thank God everyday that I had the courage and the will to go on. I look forward now to the future that I will share with them. There is one more person in my life who is just as important to me, my husband, my best friend. The one person who stood beside me through all of the pain and the heartaches. Who never gave up hope and who without I surely would have given up myself. He held me when I could do nothing more than cry in pain. He offered his hand to me when life knocked me down and he was my shelter from the storm. I could never repay the kindness and love he's always given me. My life is so much better now that I've had the spinal cord stimulator put in. It has changed all of our lives and made them better. Never give up hope. The harshest seas will calm in time. |
