Full-time employment beginning in Fall, 2001, in a software development or systems programming position. I am currently interested in staying in the Maryland/DC Metro area, and would be particularly interested in anything that intersects with my other areas of interest -- linguistics and music.

Ported one of ISI's major satellite telemetry and control products, written in C, from Solaris/Windows NT to Red Hat Linux.
  • Worked with differences between Lex/Yacc and Flex/Bison.
  • Administered a Linux development server.
  • Worked as part of a team to ensure all code continued to work on all platforms.

Student Database Administrator, January 2000
Implemented a library cataloging system developed by my project team while taking the Database Design course.
  • Installed software written by the project team, as well as third-party supporting software necessary for our software to run.
  • Used SQL and shell scripts to manage the loading of data from a previously existing monolithic table to our PostgreSQL DB.
  • Performed data integrity checks and debugging of software.
