Valley of Fire State Park, dedicated in 1935, is Nevada's oldest and (in my opinion) best state park, so naturally I had to hide a letterbox during my last meandering through the area. Here, red is the dominant color with a landscape full of petrified dunes and strangely-shaped rocks and sandstone cliffs, especially at sunrise or sunset when the rocks glow a magical red color, as if they were in fact on fire.

Traveling northwest on Interstate 15 from Las Vegas, take Nevada Route 169 at Crystal south to the park. Traveling southwest on I-15 turn south on Route 169 (Exit 93) near Glendale, and travel southeast 15 miles to the park. There is an entrance fee ($5 for the day during my visit, but always subject to change).

Clues:

These are picture clues. You must hike the designated trail or area looking for where the pictures were taken and you'll find the boxes where I'm discreetly hiding them. They'll be covered with rocks to prevent accidental discovery, and the petroglyphs on the walls behind me in the pictures should help!

Petroglyph Box #1
This box is hiding near Atatl Rock. There's not really a trail per se, but hike around Atatl Rock in a clockwise direction and you should have little trouble finding the box.

Petroglyph Box #2
This box has been reported as missing, but that has not been verified. If you find this box, please let me know it's still alive and well! If you don't find this box, let me know that too, since it means it's that much more likely to actually be missing. Thanks!
I've hidden this letterbox somewhere on the trail to Mouse's Tank, so park at that trailhead and start hiking.

Petroglyph Box #3 (placed by Don & Gwen)
Just the #2 petroglyph go straight at the arrow head instead of turning left. Follow path approximately 100 paces until the side canyon opens up a bit and is at the end. From the center boulder the box is hidden approximately 4 paces at 320 degrees under some movable rocks on the up hill side of another large boulder.

NOTE: Always take adequate precautions (such as prodding with a stick and/or wearing gloves) before reaching into dark crevasses and holes in the wild. Rattlesnakes do inhabit the area, and particularly during the summer the temperature can reach well over 100 degrees. Be prepared! Before you set out read the waiver of responsibility and disclaimer.
