Fletching
Fletching is an important members skill for Archers. The ability to make your
own bows & arrows is every archers dream. In this guide, I'll teach you
how to effectively use your Fletching skill and what you can make with it. Before
starting, you'll need some logs and a knife.
Arrows
Arrow creation is probably the more harder of the 2 things you can create with
fletching. To make an arrow, you'll need an Arrow Shaft, an Arrow Head, and
a feather. Here's a step by step way to make an arrow.
1. Use a woodcutters axe to get logs.
2. Use the knife on the logs to create Arrow Shafts.
3. This is the somewhat complicated step so read word for word. You'll need to make bars, if this is your first time fletching, bronze would be the best choice. Once you have Bronze Bars, go to an anvil and smith arrow-heads. Then click the arrows-heads with the shafts.
4. To complete the arrow, you'll need feathers. You can get feathers from a fishing store or by killing chickens. Click the feather with the incomplete arrow and your done!
Arrows aren't limited to only bronze, once your fletching skill (and obviously smithing skill) gets high enough, you can create better arrows. Here's a level chart.
Level Tables for Arrows
Arrow Type Level Bow Required
Bronze 1 Any
Iron 15 Any
Steel 30 Oak
Mithril 45 Willow
Adamanite 60 Maple
Rune 75 Yew
Bows
Bows are made the same was as Arrows, just without the extra steps. Bow making
is very straight to the point yet has a few restrictions per bow and arrow you
use. For example, you will now be able to use a Rune Arrow with a basic Long
Bow. To make a bow, chop down a tree and snag the logs. Carve the logs as you
would an arrow but instead, choose Short Bow. You will need level 5 fletching
to start. Here's the level tables.
