SSB Stories

SSB has encountered a few historical events since it is a few years old. Below are a few stories about what has happened throughout the years.

Let the Games Begin!
It was Febuary in 1999. After making the game Mario Party, Mario was bored with what was going on with his video games. He wanted to be a true hero. He saw people around him, watching the World Wrestling Federation. It gave Mario a brilliant idea! Mario decided to create his own wrestling league! He thought of the name "Super Mario Bros", but he wanted to replace the word "Mario" with a high-impact word. He chose the word "Smash" and the wrestling league was named "Super Smash Bros"!

It was March 1999. The next thing Mario had to do was to get the superstars to compete in it. Mario had himself. That was it. Luigi heard about it and wanted to join. Luigi was the 2nd man Mario got on the roster. Then Mario's friends from Mario Party, Yoshi and Donkey Kong were delighted to join the Mario Bros! 4 men were on the roster. That was all the Mario characters Mario could possibly get. Mario's roster was still too small. Mario looked at the other popular games for the N64. The games Mario had chosen were The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, F-Zero X, and Star Fox 64. Mario wanted 1 man from each game. Link, Fox McCloud and Captain Falcon all wanted to join. So Mario hired them. (Later that year, those 3 guys all became an alliance, becoming heels)

It was about the ending of March. Mario currently had 7 men on the roster. Still too small. Mario wanted at least 12 men in the league. So he next looked at the SNES & Gameboy games and found that the most popular games for those 2 systems were Super Metroid, Earthbound, Kirby Superstar and Pokemon. Mario was able to get Samus Aran, Ness, and Kirby on the roster. Mario then received a call from Professor Oak, saying that all the Pokemon wanted to join! Mario said he wanted at least 2 Pokemon. Professor Oak suggested Pikachu & Jigglypuff. Mario wasn't sure who they looked like so he agreed.

Mario then got 12 Superstars! At the ending of April, SSB was about to begin! On April 26, 1999, Mario welcomed everybody to Super Smash Brothers! His welcoming quote, "Let the games begin!" has gotten SSB a boosting start! Mario was very famous and SSB has been a big craze since.

The Birth Of Mario Tennis
It was Friday, September 3rd, 2000. It was about 11:00 AM. Kirby & Ness went 1 on 1 at Hyrule Castle. Ness wins the match. Mario then calls all SSB Superstars to report to the SSB Center so he can report an announcement!

Everyone is in the SSB Center about 5 minutes later. Mario announces that a Tennis Court is going to be built right next to Super Smash Bros! Everyone is excited! Mario then said only Mario characters can only compete! Everyone was cut from competing except himself, Luigi, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong. The rest were angry but are still happy that it the tennis court will be built. Mario then told everyone to expect some of the SSB rings to be on construction. Then everyone left the SSB Center.

Just outside of the SSB Center, Yoshi & Donkey Kong were excited they were playing! They were getting Pikachu & Jigglypuff mad. But Pikachu said to Yoshi & DK that hell give them $2000 if they beat the Mario Bros!
Yoshi said he'll do it. DK and Yoshi then left to check out the construction!

Meanwhile, the NWO was mad. Link, Captain Falcon, Fox, and Samus were all angry that they didn't get to play. Link then had an idea. They huddled up and heard Link's plan.

It was about 3:00 PM. Mario was in his hotel room watching the news and drinking coffee. After the weather report, the newsman then said that here is a word from Link! Mario then went "HUH?!" Link said that Mario gripes him! Just because he was cut from the Tennis Court! He then called Mario a queer! Mario spit out his coffe right a the TV and the TV broke down! Mario was very angry after that!

It was now 4:30 PM. Link was in Mario's office, asking Mario if he wanted to see him. Mario then said that Link called him a Homosexual on TV! Link replied that he didn't call Mario a Homosexual. He called him a queer! Mario punched Link in the face and said that's the same thing! Mario was ready to punish Link! Link was going to face Mario 1 on 1 at Hyrule Castle that Sunday! Link was going to show Mario how good he is!

Meanwhile, Donkey Kong and Yoshi were hangin out in the backyard, just over the fence from the contruction going on. Link was walking by angry. Yoshi said to Link that they saw the news also! DK said everyone did! Link left still angry. Yoshi said he wanted to be on TV also! Mario came and heard Yoshi. He said that nobody is going to be on TV! Yoshi asks why. Mario has had too much stress with people making fun of him and having people on TV! Mario then decides to help the people who are building the tennis court. DK and Yoshi already saw the construction so they left.

That night, around 8:00, The NWO were having a meeting in their secret underground hideout. They were discussing about the match between Link & Mario. Captain Falcon told Link that he has nothing to worry about! He knows Link can beat Mario!

The next day came. It was September 4th, 2000. A Labor Day on the weekend! It was 11:00AM. The match between Mario & Link was just seconds from beginning! But at the same time Jeff Manning starts the match when saying "GO!", Luigi interrupts! On the megaphone, he tells all SSB Superstars to immediately report to the SSB Center!

5 minutes later, the SSB Center is filled with 10 out of the 12 SSB Superstars as Luigi is waiting for Mario & Link. Mario & Link enter the SSB Center. Mario finds all the SSB Superstars upset and arguing! Mario goes up to the stage with Luigi and is asking "What is going on?!". Luigi announces that someone is trying to STEAL the Tennis Court! All the SSB Superstars go in shock! Mario asks Luigi, catching his breath, if he has any evidence! Luigi says yes, and takes out a picture from his pocket. Mario turns to Luigi to look at the picture. He then shouts out, "THREE NINJAS?!!!!" Everyone again goes in even bigger shock! Luigi tells everyone to calm down! How can 3 people beat 12? He believes they don't have a chance! Besides, fighting is SSB's specialty! Ness says to Luigi that many of them are really young! The ninjas will cream them! Mario says to Ness that he has PK Powers. Use them. After what Ness said, all the SSB Superstars continue to argue and fight with each other! Mario shouts out to break it up! Mario knows that fighting is what SSB is all about, so he suggests that they should FIGHT for the Tennis Court! Mario says they will need weaponary and they will be able to beat them! Mario knows he has his Fireballs. Mario checks every individual SSB Superstar if they have a weapon or not. DK had his Coconut Gun from Donkey Kong 64. Link had his sword. Samus had her gun. Yoshi had his eggs. Kirby had no weapon. Fox had his Blaster gun. Pikachu had his Electric Powers. Jigglypuff had her singing ability. Captain Falcon had no weapon either. Luigi had his Green Fireballs. And last but not least, Ness had his PK Powers. So Mario had to get weapons for Kirby and Captain Falcon. He points out that there is a weapon store in the Mushroom Kingdom. Luigi decides to go with Mario. Mario says he has a bigger chance of getting the weapons faster than the ninjas arriving here! Yoshi asks how long will the trip be. Mario says a few hours and tells Yoshi no goofing off. Yoshi said he can count on him! The Mario Brothers then leave in Mario's red Cobra. Yoshi tells everyone to party! So Rock music is playing, everyone is partying, and Link is ordering pizza from Pizza Hut!

Around noon, the Mario Brothers are driving in the middle of a Highway. Mario's Car Radio is playing the official SSB Song "So Happy Together", since it is on the N64 SSB Commercial. Luigi asks Mario if they will make it on time. Mario is happy and confident that they will be fine! Luigi bangs his head on the Glove Department and tells Mario not to go so fast! Mario asks why. Suddenly they hear a police siren! A Police Car is after them! Mario shouts out "Oh no!", and pulls over. The Police Officer gets to the Mario's car. He is then shocked and goes "The Mario Bros?!" Mario says he is at his service, trying to get out of the situation. The officer said they were over the speed limit and are getting a ticket! The Mario Brothers both go "A TICKET?!"

Once Mario got his car going again, Luigi was angry at Mario for getting a $200 ticket! Mario said he was not a bad driver! He said he didn't drink either! Mario then says that it has been about an hour but they finally made it to the route to the Mushroom King-- but it is on construction! Now they have to take the long route to Mushroom Kingdom! Mario knows they will not get back on time! Luigi says not to worry. He mentions some of the names of the SSB stars, Yoshi and Pikachu. Luigi knows even withuout themselves, he knows SSB can defeat the ninjas! Even with both hands tied behind their backs! Mario thinks Luigi is nuts. Suddenly, Mario finds a mirage of water on the road! Luigi yells out that it's no mirage! Their car starts sliding on the road! A truck is sliding out of control also and both veichles smash into each other! An explosion occurs! However, the Mario Brothers are both okay. And their car got damaged in the front. They were still able to start the car again and continue the path to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Meanwhile, at the construction in the tennis court, the ninjas are spying around the area, hoping no one sees them! They are coming up with a brilliant plan to take over it!

Around 1:00, Mario and Luigi make it to the Weapon Store in the Mushroom Kingdom. Toad is running the store and is ahppy to see the Mario Bros again! Mario tells Toad he is in a hurry and needs 2 guns! Toad said it will be 200 coins. Mario heads outside to his car to get his wallet. Luigi asks Toad if the Mushroom Kingdom is fine. Toad said is was great. Suddenly, Luigi and Toad hear Mario outside, yelling at Bowser! Mario tells Bowser to get out of his car! Bowser drove off! Mario yelled out that his wallet was in there, but Bowser was already gone with Mario's car! Mario came back in the store and told Luigi that they will have to beat the ninjas themselves! Luigi asks if he is walking his way back, but Mario decided to hitchhike. He will get his car back AFTER beating the ninjas.

About at 3:00, Yoshi and Donkey Kong were sitting on the couch, both full from drinking coke and eating pizza all afternoon! There were lots of junk all over the floor! Suddenly, a siren in the building goes off! Link is rushing to Yoshi and DK, yelling out to everyone that he saw the ninjas! They're coming this way! Link yells out after that "Man your battle stations!" Everyone comes in quickly to Link! Link tells everyone when Mario is not here, he will be the leader! Yoshi asks Link if they are coming to the SSB Center or the Tennis Court! Link knew it was the Tennis Court. Link tells everyone that they will need to know how to march! Then they march to the beat of the "Yankee Doodle" Song! Everyone gets their weapons and they all head out, marching to next door, the Tennis Court...

It is about 3:20. The Tennis Court is about 1/2 a mile from the SSB Center. All the Superstars are marching behind Link in a giant field, on a path to the Tennis Court. Link sees Jigglypuff bringing something huge. Jigglypuff said it is a stereo, which can put the ninjas to sleep! Yoshi said he wanted one of those! After about 5 minutes marching, Link told everyone that they were almost there. Kirby and Captain Falcon complain that they don't have a weapon yet! Link tells Kirby to uses his abilities and Captain Falcon to use his Falcon Punch. They all arrive at the Tennis Court...

Meanwhile, the ninjas are at the Tennis Court, making the finishing touches of the construction. The leader of the 3 says it is complete and it is all theirs! Link yells out "Not so fast!" The ninja goes "Wha? Link?!" The ninjas see all the SSB Superstars ready to fight! Link knows they have come to steal the Tennis Court. He tells them that SSB will clobber them! The ninja knows Link won't win with no Mario around! Link gets very angry and tell DK to get them! The Battle begins! DK takes out his Coconut Gun and shoots 1 coconut at them. But the ninjas reflect it and it comes back to DK and hits DK! He gets back up and decides to shoot 3 coconuts rapidly! Again, the 3 coconuts are reflected and hit DK! DK faints. The ninjas laugh! Link gets angry again and decides to go after them next! The ninjas all stampede toward Link and all try to Karate Kick Link rapidly! But Link puts up his shield and is blocking every kick! Yoshi yells out to keep the shield up! He knows the ninjas will get tired trying to kick Link! After about a minute of kicking, Link's shield gets red and very hot! It suddenly breaks into pieces! Link is shocked that they could kick through steel! He quickly puts up his Mirror Shield from the game Ocarina of Time! Still, the ninjas attempt to kick Link! Link's Mirror on his shield statters and the rest of the shield is kicked out of his hand! Link is kicked right in the chin very hard! Link faints. Samus is next and is ready to fight. One of the ninjas come and try to punch her, but it hurt just trying to punch through steel! Samus grabs that ninja and is charging up her gun! There is nothing the other 2 ninjas can do about it! Samus releases all her energy and that ninja goes flying out of the Tennis Court! 1 down, 2 to go! The other 2 ninjas are cherging right up to her. 1 ninja spins her helmet so she falls to the ground. The other ninja takes Samus and slams her to the ground again! Samus faints. Yoshi is ready to fight the 2 ninjas. He sayas to look out! Because is is the one and only "Yoshinator!" The leader of the 2 ninjas insult Yoshi. Yoshi gets mad and attempts to throw an egg but they both dodge out of the way by rolling to the ground. The leader rolls up to Yoshi and grabs him! He gives Yoshi a Seismic Toss! Yoshi faints. The 2 ninjas want Kirby next. Kirby is nervous and attempts to inhale both ninjas. But they kick Kirby in the face. Kirby faints. Fox McCloud steps forward and says they are going down! He takes out his gun and shoots at them! He hit them! But they didn't feel a thing! Fox is shocked! The leader said they have a bombproof suit. He takes Fox McCloud and throws him out of the Court! Fox faints. Pikachu is next. He goes for a Thundershocjk but misses. Then he goes for a Thunderbolt and hits one of the ninjas! That ninja faints. 2 down, 1 to go! All left is the leader of the 3 ninjas. Pikachu then goes for a Thunder but again misses! The ninja punches Pikachu in the chest and then punches him once more! Pikachu faints. Jigglypuff is next. She still has that stereo covered. She uncovers it and says it is something called the Ultimate Loudblast! It sends 75 mile waves to all directions! Puts everyone to sleep! Jigglypuff is ready to sing right through it! But something in there screws up and makes the stereo explode! An explosion covers the Tennis Court! Jigglypuff faints. After that the ninja finds that Jigglypuff has disappeared. She must have gone flying after that explosion. He thought that stereo was lame. Captain Falcon was next. He was gonna show that ninja his speed! He goes for the Falcon Punch! But during that, the ninja does something called the Ninja Punch and gets Cpatain Falcon first! Captain Falcon goes flying out of the Tennis court. Captain Falcon faints. Everyone is gone. It's all up to Ness! The ninja said all he has to do is beat up a stupid little kid and the Tennis Court is his! Ness gets mad and goes for a PK Fire! He hits the ninja! The ninja said he didn't feel a thing! And told Ness to feel this! He kicks Ness in the face! Ness faints! The ninja says that it looks like he has defeated the powers of SSB! Suddenly, someone yells out "DEFEATED?!" It is the Mario Brothers! Mario said he forgot the power of positive plumbing! Mario tells Luigi to get them! Luigi fires a green fireball at them but missed. He fires another, but the ninja reflects it back at him! Luigi is hurt but still battling. He goes for his Super Jump from Super Mario Bros! He was gonna stomp on him! But the ninja hit him in a Low Blow! Luigi fell to the ground hard and faints. It's all up to Mario! Mario wa gonna burn him with his fireballs! He shoots one at the ninja and it burns him! Mario's fireballs are successful! Mario then kicks him twice and then punches him hard! He nearly fainted! He took out a bomb! And his other men came back! Mario warned him that he will hurt himself and the Tennis Court if he uses that bomb! But the ninjas were wearing bombproof suits! The bomb is lit! Mario yells out "Oh no!" The leader of the ninjas yells out "So long SSB!" The bomb explodes, covering the entire Tennis Court! All the SSB Superstars' bodies are all over the court. The ninjas decide that since they won, it is time they UNMASK themselves! They all unmask themselves! SSB's long time rival game has been Diddy Kong Racing, and it turned out to have been the 3 biggest men in that game, Krunch, Banjo, and Bumper! No one knows what they are doing there! Krunch says the Tennis Court is all his and makes an evil laugh! He takes out a pistol and tell everyone to beat it!

After that long battle it was about 5:00. Super Smash Bros had lost to their long time rivals, Diddy Kong Racing. The SSB Superstars were all at the SSB Center. Everyone was sad. Mario, Luigi, DK, Yoshi, and Link were in the TV room all on chairs. The rest were in the backyard.Yoshi couldn't believe they lost. Mario said it was okay to lose 1 battle. Yoshi said that not only did they lose, they STUNK. He said Krunch is way better than us! Luigi said "Thank god we made it there on time." But they still lost. DK said SSB didn't even stand a chance! Link was wondering when those 3 guys learn Karate lessons. None of them knew. DK knew Krunch was breaking a rule! Link said DK was right! Yoshi had it! Yoshi was gonna call the police! Mario agreed with Yoshi!

Meanwhile in the backyard, the NWO (Fox, Falcon, & Samus), Ness, and Kirby were on chairs on the patio. Pikachu and Jigglypuff were out in the yard. Jigglypuff saw her stereo busted up. She was crying over it. Pikachu was gonna buy a new one. Fox was saying to the other guys at his table that they would have won if Fox brought his Arwing! Captain Falcon was jealous that Krunch was faster than him at attacking. At least he can run faster! Ness was shocked. His PK Powers had no effect to them! Fox said he was just a kid. Fox & Ness both began to argue about Ness' powers! Mario then gets on the megaphone and tells all SSB Superstars to report to the SSB Center as soon as possible!

Meanwhile, at the Tennis Court, Krunch, Banjo, & Bumper were making the rules of Mario Tennis! Krunch is the owner of it! And they have rights to insult players while playing! Suddenly, a police siren is heard! A Police Car comes to the Tennis Court! The same officer who gave Mario a ticket comes out with a gun and tells the 3 to hold it right there! Krunch goes "Huh?" The officer said they were under arrest for STEALING Mario's Tennis Court! Krunch told him that he doesn't know what happened! Krunch said he was a citizen here! He's got rights! He said the Tennis Court was his first! He had priorities there! The officer told him to shut his mouth! The officer said that Mario told him the entire story! And the officer actually knows who Krunch, Bumper, and Banjo are! He said they lie all the time! So he handcuffed them. Krunch said he'll regret this. The police officer drove off with them arrested!

The next day, September 5th, the SSB Superstars were all in the TV room happy. It was about 11:00 AM. Luigi said he was glad that they got in jail! He asked the rest of the Superstars if they are glad too! Link said we all are glad! Luigi then found another problem. He asked "Where's Mario?"

At Bowser's Castle, Mario was in a boiler room with Bowser. Bowser said Mario was too late! His car was about to be destroyed in a pit of lava! Mario gasps! Bowser yells out a magic word and fire bursts in the air! Bowser laughs! Mario finally says his catch phrase once more "Oh no!"
