3875. Dyer Loomis

Son of Dyer Loomis above married Esther Johnson and moved to Skowhegan, ME. He died there.

3877. John Loomis

From: "Dona B. Reeves-Marquardt" 4/2003
After the revolution, John (the patriot) moved to Florida, Berkshire, MA and the records there are next to non-existant. Salome Scott Loomis died in Ashfield (?) and John married again, Elizabeth Standish and took off and had another bunch of kids. He ends up dying in PA, I can't figure out why, but probably because his eldest son, Merrell, had moved that way. His son, John , my line, moved to WV and had Jason. Reasons for family
moves are hard to come by, but we keep digging

Salome Scott

From Barbara Lenker: I believe this is the correct Salome married to John Loomis. She and John had a child named Amzi. Salome had a brother named Amzi. I have seen other files that show a Salome born in 1745. That made her 15 years older than John. I don't believe this to be correct. The file showed all of the children died in infancy. Yet, I have been contacted by a descendant, so someone had to have survived.
