Page: "Israel, Hannah, W9141, BLW #4615-100, Cont Line, soldier enlisted at Belcher, MA, he appl 7 May 1818 Chautauqua Co., NY aged 60, in 1820; soldier was living at Pomfret, NY & gave his age as 64 & in 1824 he was living there & gave his age at 68, sol married Hannah in Jan 1785 or Feb 1786 at Ashford, CT, soldier died 11 May 1826, widow appl 23 Oct 1838 Holmes Co., OH aged about 75, in 1844 she had moved to Van Buren Co., IA, soldier & wife raised a family of 9 children mentioned in were; Fanny 21, Mary 19, Abner 17, Henry Dyer 14, Rodolphus orRhodolphus who was living in PA in 1820, in 1820 an Abner Loomis was of PA & a William Loomis was mentioned in 1820 but their relationship to soldier wasn't given, soldier's bros Henry Dyer Loomis were both of Erie Co., PA in 1838."

Justin Loomis, b.1792 in Connecticut; married Eliza Drake; d.1872 in Grant township, Clare County, MI. Their children were Justin b. 1840, William F.b. 1844, James Buell b. 1846, John Elwin b. 1848, Marcus or Marques B. b. 1852, Matthew b. 1855, and Emma b. 1858. The 1850 census places the family in Elk Creek Twp, Erie County, PA; and the 1860 census places them in Rockdale Twp, Crawford County, PA. They later moved to Michigan and we have a fairly complete linage from there.
