Removed to Sheffield, Mass., 1750. Noble Gen., p. 705, says he was dismissed from Westfield to Great Barrington church, on July 8, 1750.

William supposedly married, but his wife's name is not known.
1660. Seth Loomis
He removed to Granville, Mass., 1766, and thence to Granville, N. Y. , and in 1799, to the Holland Purchase, now North East, Pa., settling there before the last war whoop of the Cherokees and Senecas had died away. He and his son-in-law, Lemuel Brown, were truly "path-finders" for the family.
On the Westfield, Mass. census of 1798, he owned a lot & house on the Muns Brook N. St. and one on the Granville Rd. bought of James Forbes, plus one other bought from Joel Noble.
Mindwell may be, but no one is sure, the dau. of one Thomas Porter and wife Sarah Porter and she is not mentioned in any of the PORTER Genealogies.
