E. Windsor Church Record lists d.o.d. as 19 July 1788 (Stiles).
He commanded a company of mounted men in Backus's Regt. of Light Horse, 1776. He was dismissed from service on Nov. 2, 1776, with the thanks of Gen. Washington, in Gen. Order of Nov. 1, 1776.

Sarah Loomis reportedly had more than one husband, remarrying a number of times, but details are unknown. One source lists one of the husbands as a Mr. Willard.

Williams Patterson, Esq., that Reuben was the son of Ichabod, son of Timothy, the missing links can only be supplied by presuming that Ichabod (son of Timothy) b. 1692, m abt. 1718/19, and had Ichabod and Reuben b. before Lucy, b. 1727, as given on page 438.
