Rebecca Loomis Woodruff & John Brown, of pre-Civil War Harper's Ferry raid fame, were both descendants of Joseph Loomis and Mary White.

Oldest son of Jonathan 2nd born West Suffield in 1737; also spelled Johnaton. Sheldon Family Assn. lists death as 20 Feb 1812. Sheldon Family Assn. notes 7 children, the last being "Ruth Sheldon b: 177? in West Suffield" who married a man named Jahonnet and had no children.

"married 1745 according to W.C.R., which termed him, "Jr."; deacon of Windsor church; resided East Windsor.

He owned the covenant Oct. 21, 1746, and joined the church in Vernon, Feb. 23, 1783. He adopted Hannah (#1021) who was bapt. and d. Nov. 28 , 1778.
Abigail died without issue.
