Feb. 15, 1758, Dr. Jonathan Buttles, or Buttoloph, b. 1692-3, son of David; m. 3rd, Zebulon Hoskins; she d. at So. Canaan, Apr. 30 (26), 1804, ae. 100 yrs. 2 mos . Martha, the youngest dau. lived to be 102 yrs. old. Ch'n, all by 1st m.: 1. Jonathan, 2. Son, 3. Martha, 4. Son, 5. Martha, 6. Daughter, 7. Austin, 8. Margaret, 9. Eunice.

1790 Federal Census for Westfield, MA, shows Aaron, three males and four females in the household.
Grant's Genealogy gives her name as Morely, p 25; but town clerk at Glastonbury gives it as Mosely, and another source gives it as Smith.
He resided in Rupert, VT, ,during the Revolutionary War, and in 1778 was captain of the 3rd Co, 5th Reg. of VT troops. At one time he had the command of a small body of men, whose business it was to hold in check the Tories of the region, and in the discharge of these duties, he so offended them that they burnt his mill, and at length alarmed him so much that he returned to Southwick. In Shays rebellion he was a captain of the insurgents. He was a tailor and farmer.

William Loomis was a member of Capt. Thomas Cheney's Company, raised in Massachusetts for an expedition against Canada in 1746.

James Loomis was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He removed to Lanesboro, Mass. in 1764.
1695. Sarah Loomis
Possibly married Henry Durkee, b. 18 JAN 1718 in Windham, Connecticut, as his second wife.
He was at the battle fo Bunker Hill and the seige of Boston, under Capt. James Clark and Capt. Roger Enos. He removed to W. Springfield, Mass.
505. Capt. Noah Loomis

And the descendants of pioneer Joseph Loomis, as is proven by their record at Lexington, Bunker Hill, Saratoga, and throughout the war, played well their part, as is shown in Table IV hereinafter. Afterwards he enlisted in Capt. Lebbeus Ball's Co., in Col. Timothy Danielson's Regt. He d. Aug. 9, 1808, Southwick, Mass., of which he was 2nd on list of early settlers, and many times selectman.
