Difficulty Level: Easy
> Start: South-west of the Khazard Battlefield and west of the Gnome Maze, underneath some ruins in an observation tower. Speak to the Observatory Professor.
Wooden Tripod: All you have to do is go find 3 planks, Jagex added some 5 or so new plank spawns in the Barbarian Outpost so that you don't have to walk all the way to the Wilderness, grab 3 and bring them back to the Professor.
Bronze Bar: Simple enough, just grab a tin and copper and stick it in the furnace and go back to the Professor.
Lens: What you have to bring the Professor this time is Molten Glass, just use a bucket of sand and some soda ash (use some seaweed on a range to get this) with a furnace and voila, bring this back to the Professor too.
Lens Mould: Before you go down the ladder, i suggest you get a Cure Poison Potion in the goblins camp just incase. After getting this, go down the ladder in the room with the Professor and open the MOST southwestern chest there is and search it. You should get a key, if not, keep searching. Sometimes you may encounter a poisonous spider, so use the potion. After getting the key, go back until you
see a lvl 48 Goblin guard which you should have seen while on the way to the chest. After killing the guard, use the key on the door, it should snap, but don't be alarmed, it just means you can't use it again. Open the door now and search the sacks to the right of the doorway, you should find the mould, go back to the Professor. Speak to him and he asks you to make the lens for him, you need lvl 10 crafting to do this. After this, go back down the ladder, and go up the ladder which is nearby the chest which had the key inside it, speak to the professor and then use the telescope. After seeing your image, you will get your reward and you have finished the quest.
