| RS 1248: Nov. & June 2003 bills compared | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| On Nov. 4, 2003, the Senate HELP Committee reported out RS 1248, the IDEA reauthorization bill. RS 1248 differs slightly from the version of the bill the Committee had approved in June 2003. This website was created as a place to indicate some of those changes and also to provide some redlines of the two bills. These are just the changes we spotted; these are not all-inclusive lists of all of the changes; they are only drafts. They also only show the changes from the beginning of the bill through Part C. Part D and later sections are in a separate link on the right, with just the redline itself (there wasn't time to do a Part D summary). Remember, these are not comparisons of RS 1248 to the IDEA; they are only comparisons of RS 1248, as reported out by the HELP Committee in November, to the bill approved by the Committe in June.
