In the small parking lot on the SouthEast side of Lake Calhoun by the "outhouses". This lot is just NorthEast of the traffic light at the intersection of Richfield Road, William Berry Parkway, West Lake Calhoun Parkway, and East Lake Calhoun Parkway. This is a metered pay lot YEAR ROUND! Free parking is available on the adjoining side streets.

This is a very nice system of trails around a chain of lakes. Lake Calhoun is 3.09 miles around. Lake Harriet is 2.79 miles and there is a .45 mile stretch between the two lakes.

There are bathrooms located just off the trail on both lakes. The trails are cleared nicely during the Winter months. This is a very popular running/wakling route. The trail configuration is a figure 8, which makes it easy for runners to join or leave the group at various distances. It also allows for fluid stops near our vehicles. It is a good idea to leave valuables at home (not in your car).
