Coronet R/T Picures before starting
the restoration
The front of the car was in excellent shape. No rust, no major dents, just worn from 30 yrs of road duty. |
You can see the extensive rust damage in the rear qtr. It had been patched once before but the rust continued to get worse. I ended up replacing the qtr panel about 3 inches below the rear sidemarker light. |

The back of the car is where most of the problems are. the bumper is bent and will have to be rechromed. The trunk deck is rusted beyond repair and will have to be replaced( as the trunk floor, qtr extensions and lower qtrs). I ended up having to replace the rear crossmember too. |

Orignal back seat. It's not ripped, but the vinyl is hard and the stitching has mostly rotted away. |
Interior of car. Most of the interior will be replaced with new soft trim from Legendary Auto Interiors. |
All of the sheet metal on the front of the car is perfect. A good cleaning and repaint and it will be as good as new. |
Underside of the car is in great shape. It just needs a good cleaning. |
Trunk pan. A lot of fiberglass and rust…The whole pan will be replaced. |
