Pharmacy Manager, Siouxland Community Health Center, Sioux City, Iowa.  Manage a pharmacy within the medical clinic.  Provide pharmacy services for eight medical providers.  Supervise a staff of two pharmacy techs.  Member of the management team of the clinic.  Head of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.  Utilize Pfizer’s Sharing the Care and access drug companies’ indigent medication programs.  November 1999-Present

 

Pharmacist II, Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City, Iowa.  Staff central and outpatient pharmacy.  Provide consultant services to 20 bed skilled nursing unit.  Present pharmacy information to new nursing staff during nursing orientation.  Instrumental in building files, implementation, and training staff for new pharmacy computer system (MS Meds 6.0b, Cerner).  Serve as Cerner liaison.  Served as an Internal Medicine and Cardiac Step Down decentralized pharmacist providing pharmacokinetic consultations, antibiotic monitoring, therapeutic drug substitution, drug information, QA, and order entry from the nursing unit.  Pharmacist Schedule Coordinator-make staff pharmacist schedule for department.  QA Coordinator-responsible for coordination and follow through on the department’s QA projects.  Member of Steering Committee-five person committee charged with directing the pharmacy department.  Outpatient Pharmacy Committee Chair-responsible for maintaining policy and procedures, handling price structures, and writing outpatient pharmacy procedure manual.  Member of IV Committee, Central Pharmacy Committee, Drug Error Committee-charged with maintaining policy and procedures for theses areas and handling special projects that arise.  July 1994-November 1999
