| My name is Raquel Rebbe. I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles California. I am the third of four daughters. Because my sisters and I are all within five years of age, we relate well to each other and are close. My father is a Captain in the Los Angeles City Fire Department. My mother is a retired dancer and dance teacher who now works as a seamstress. My family is a very important part of my life and I enjoy hanging out with them as much as possible. They are all a stable part of my life that are there to help me whenever I need them. | ![]() |
My Education: |

I
started my educational career at Saint Francis de Sales Elementary
School and later went to Notre Dame High School. Both of
these schools are private Catholic schools in the San Fernando Valley.
After I graduated from high school I attended San Diego State
University. I lived in beautiful San Diego for four years while
at
SDSU. I graduated in May 2007 and had a short lived graduation.
Now I am attending California State University of Northridge,
and I am in the ACT program. I am working toward getting my
teaching credential, and hope that by next September I will be
working in my own classroom. |
| I first began working with children in elementary and high school when I would baby-sit for certain families about twice a month. I also worked as a camp councelor at Tumbleweed Day Camp and Notre Dame Sports Camp. When I moved to San Diego I worked as a nanny for a two year old boy; when the family moved I got a job at the pre school on the SDSU campus. I worked in the classroom with three to five year old children. That was an experience that was fun, inspirational, and educational because I challenged myself and learned about managing a classroom. | ![]() |
My Teaching Style: |
![]() |
I find talking about teaching style to be very difficult because it is hard to put into words what my teaching style is. I know I have been considered to be a strict teacher because I do not let the children get away with misbehaving. Because I think children are capable of so much I want to help them reach their full potential. My expectations will be high for my students but I will always be there to help them if they need it. A compromise between being stern and helpful is very important. I will make sure my students will be responsible for themselves and repect everyone; the teacher, their peers, and themselves. |
