RRPS is the place to go if you want to play REAL. Just to clear up a few things, playing real is different
from playing wild. Since there are several people that play wild but don't play real. We play real here and I
will discuss this further on the page.
We are in need of members, be them horses or predators. Please help out. Thank you.
The few rules of the RRPS are listed below :
* You may have up to 10 characters at any time, but no more than that. This can be any
combination of species/breeds/genders/ages but no more than ten. If one of these characters is killed or
dies, then that player may attain a new character.
* Predators (canine, feline, or other) shall be allowed to prey upon regular prey
(deer, rabbits, etc.) and also the occasional weak/old/injured equids or weak/abandoned/orphaned young
equids, but only when the opportunity arises.
* All animals will grow old and/or weak and possibly die.
* All animals may be injured if a contact fight ensues. You can only dodge so many
times.
* You can't powerplay! No playing the other person (saying they fall down and then
attack them again), it isn't fair so it isn't allowed.
* Females won't 'fight' stallions, though they may swerve and duck away to escape the
herding or courting.
* Herds may be rounded up periodically by Bureau of Land Management officials. The
young will be selected for adoptions and the rest returned to the wild. If you are selected, you must go.
* Predators may be relocated by the Predator Control Service officials, if you so
choose to attack domestic livestock, to an area further from human dwellings. If you are chosen, you must
go.
* Stallions shall have no more than 15 mares at any time, although 3-7 is the normal
range.
* All male predators may have as many as is normal for that animal.
* Three year old colts shall be driven off by their sires and will join or form
bachelor bands. Three year old fillies shall be ignored by the stallion and left to roam off and join mare
bands.
* Any other animal that is younger than maturity shall be alone (or with others of the
same kind) until mature.
* Mares shall leave the band to foal, seeking marshy, wet ground. Other females will
either make a den (if appropriate) or leave others to have young.
* Mares in a band shall fight for Boss Mare, without inflicting great wounds. Other
females (as above, of other species, if living within a group) will also fight for dominancy.
* Lowland Spread is the place to wander if you want to mingle. Be careful, this is the
place close to the ranchers. It can also be a range for predators.
* Humans can RP their own roundup but you can ONLY take one horse and it should be
somewhat young. No older than 5 years old please, but it may be of either gender.
* Stallions may fight other stallions for territory and harem but keep in mind that
the territory owner almost always wins.
If you are old enough (at least 5) and have at least one mare, you may claim a territory. The following is a
list of known territories for you to claim. To claim a territory, you must email me at
[email protected] and tell me who your mare is and
what territory you want. You can also attempt to fight another stallion for his territory, please email me to
alert me to this so I can watch the Battle Grounds. You should also email the stallion you want to fight and
let him know as well. When you claim a territory, you will need to make a board for it. There are a few free
message board hosts out there, just search for them. I use voy.com for my boards. *NOTE* You can only claim
mares in the Lowland Spread board, you can't enter the Eastern Grounds of the Meadow.
