POTTERY WORKSHOP
A Little About My Creations
The Tabriz pottery, recognizable by its unique, turquoise color, has all but lost its place in everyday, modern life.  All of my pieces are hand-thrown on a pottery wheel. Once the basic form is created, the pieces may be engraved (with bijouterie designs) or left with a simple smooth surface.  My primary glazes are turquoise and neutral shade.

The steps involved in making a piece include:  preparing the clay, co-mixing or kneading it, using the wheel and hands to form the pot, erasing, engraving (bijouterie designs), preliminary firing (at approximately 700 centigrade), glazing and finally - secondary firing. The soil I have been using to make pots is called White soil or Kaolin and comes from the Bilverlogh mine close to Tabriz.

My work is available to be seen and purchased at "Saadabad Gallery" and "Homa Gallery", Tehran, Iran.  Also some examples of my work has been available for purchase in the gift shop of  "Sofalineh & Abgineh" - which is the most famous Museum for Pottery, Ceramics and Glassware in Iran.

My pottery is available in Europe through the GALERIE PAZYRYK in Paris. Also, you are invited to visit my workshop to order a custom piece.
