Waiting for a sign

That you will give me

From beyond

Where you are now

Beyond right, beyond wrong,

The bond that we shared

Will never be lost

For I carry you in me

Wherever I go.

A sign from you

Is never too far

For I hear your voice

In surrounding silence

And I know you’ll be there

Through dusk and dawn

To guide my thoughts

And lead my way

For I feel your warmth

In the cold of the night.

You are still my Dad

And I’m close to you

Connected to you

By an invisible thread.

For I see your smile

Before my inner eye,

As you’re taking my hand

And whispering to me

Soft words of courage

You will pave my way

By a sign from you ….
