                Kid Pix Deluxe software
                Digital pictures of individual students saved on disk

Overview of Project:

This project was completed in place of the "All About Me" introductory lesson.

Explain to students the objectives of this assignment. Tell students to think of 5 school related items that they feel they do the best and can help others with. Students will compile a book that will remain in the classroom and will contain a page for each student. It will be used during group activities and is available for students to look at when they are in need of a buddy to help in a certain area. For example, if a student needs help with a math assignment he/she can go to the book and look for a classmate that has listed math as a subject he/she is good at and can help others with.

Create a template on Kid Pix Deluxe that indicates where the students should type the information. For example:

                      I am good at:
                      1.                                                                4.
                      2.                                                                5.
                      3.

Students come to the computer and type in the needed information. A digital picture is then inserted onto the page.

Print off each students page and have the class help place the pages in alphabetical order. Bind the book and enjoy as the students are able to utilize the book when they need help.
