Students in Mrs. Romstadt's reading group are reading Akiak by Robert J. Blake. After reading the book, students will be asked to complete the following task.

This is a map of the trail for the Iditarod Race in Alaska. The same trail Akiak faces. Your task is to go to the Internet, click on a section (yellow dot), and read the description of what mushers face during each leg of the race. Use the description to list at least 4-5 details from the reading. Summarize these details by writing a summary paragraph. You will also need to print the picture of the section you have chosen to paste under your paragraph. We will want to have as many sections as possible, so everyone should choose differently.
