Overview of Project:

Introduce project by explaining to students what will be required of them during this project. Give a rubric identifying and outlining the project.

Students are to complete a research report on any topic they choose, but the topic must be indepth enough to contain enough information for each letter of the alphabet. Students write at least one paragraph explaining one aspect of their topic as it pertains to each letter of the alphabet. For example: a student picks the topic of food, the letter "a" may be apple. The student would then write a paragraph explaining what an apple is. The topic shown in student examples is hockey. This student chose a team or team member that began with each letter of the alphabet. (See student examples) A variety of material may be used for research, including the internet.

Students should first complete a rough draft. They then take that rough draft and create a powerpoint slide for each letter. Pictures, sounds, videos and music may be inserted. A teacher demonstration of powerpoint may be needed if the students have not yet used this in the class.

Upon completion, allow students to present their show to the class.
