Introducing R.R.M.L. Member, Mike Parrott

Well here it goes.
My name is John Michael Parrott, aka Lone Eagle.

I got started with the hobby of Buckskinning, back in 1989, the year of the big rains. I'll never forget my first Rendezvous, it was PCCD in McNabb, Illinois. I loaded up the old truck and headed out. It had been raining for several days, but I decided to go anyway. Well as I drove down the lane to the campgrounds I had second thoughts. I made my final turn and the truck SUNK TO THE RUNNING BOARDS. Well I was there stuck in the mud, knowing not a soul. I waded out and up the hill where I saw 2 guy unloading targets, and I inquired as to where I could find the Booshway. Mike Rigazio spoke up as he looked out the back of the truck, and he said Looks Like Your Stuck.

Well to make a long story short Mike and Larry Boyd got me out. It rained all weekend. We packed out on the Wednesday following the Rendezvous. I drove down to the parking lot and they had all my gear packed up and loaded in my truck. Mike took me aside and gave me the best piece of advice "Remember it just gets better".

I was hooked big time.

In 1990 I was invited into the River Rats.

Over the years I've had many Shinin' Times. You won't ever find a greater group of people.

My other interests are many, Primitive Bow, Model Railroading, and Computers.

It's a start maybe more as time goes by.
