Joseph A. Kollar

Joseph A. Kollar, age 72, of Paw Paw, IL and formerly of Streamwood, IL
died Tuesday, June 3, 2003 in his home. He was born on January 3, 1931 in
Chicago, IL the son ofJohn and Irene (Kohout) Kollar. He had been employed by the
Village of Streamwoodor over 30 years and had served as the Director of Public Works
at the time of his retirement andthere is a Streamwood park that bears his name.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the National Muzzle Loading Rifle
Association and the River Rats Muzzle Loader Club in LaSalle County. He was an avid
outdoorsman. He served as a Military Policeman in the United States Army during
the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary McMichael
and one brother, William Kollar. He is survived by two daughters, Joann (Larry) Falcon,
Odin, IL and Cindy (Harlin) Hudson, Lee Center, IL, one son, Michael (Sheila) Kollar, Genoa, IL
and one brother, John (Mary) Kollar, Roselle, IL, 13 grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial Services were held on Saturday, June 7, 2003
at 2 p.m. in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home, Amboy, IL. Burial of cremains followed in
Woodside Cemetery, Lee Center with military graveside services by the Amboy American Legion.
Visitation was in the funeral home on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
A memorial has been established.
