"Jerry" "Dragon"
Goggins
Age 57. Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2004
at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, with his
family at his side. Jerry was born on November 11, 1946
in Joliet, then moved with his family to Channahon,
at the age of 3. He was preceded in death by his father,
James A. Goggins.

Surviving are his mother, Lucille;
one brother, Larry (Jackie); two nephews, Pat (Shelly)
and Dan (Janet); one niece, Mary Ann Smith; two grand nieces,
Anna and Lauren Goggins; and two grand nephews, Adam Smith
and Aidan Goggins.

Jerry was named the first Eagle Scout
in Channahon, from Pack #44. He also served in the Viet Nam War,
where Jerry was honored with many commendations, including
the Bronze Star with "V" for Valor and the Purple Heart.
Upon returning home, Jerry served on the Channahon Volunteer
Fire Department for many years.

Jerry retired from
Illinois Bell/Ameritech/SBC two years ago, after 33 years
of employment. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Known as "Dragon" by his rendezvous friends. He loved
to re-enact 18th century history. He was a member of the
Joliet Muzzleloaders and the Peru River Rats.

He will be greatly missed by many.
