GEOMETRY SERIES
This series of paintings breaks down my work into it's simplest possible elements of basic flat, colored, geometric shapes and figure drawings from models. This group of paintings (below are details from a few of them), are a good example of the interplay between abstract and representational elements of my work. The geometric shapes are geometric shapes but they can also take on other meanings in the composition. They can be windows, doors, walls, etc. The can poke, enclose or otherwise define the space around the model. In spite of all this, they are still just flat, geometric shapes on a sheet of paper. It is up to the viewer to ascribe narrative meanings to them.
