The same is true for art in my life. I want to be a technically-skilled, observant, and intuitive artist. I don't expect to be the best one in the world, I don't have any grandiose message to push... I draw and sculpt and make art in general because I enjoy the act. It never has to be more complex than that.
That's the sort of thing I need to constantly remind myself of.
Calm down... laugh more, live more simply. Everything necessary to contentment is right up front...
Pay attention.
