Rose's Dad.....(Jaju) Joseph Zemba
Jaju (Grandpa in Polish) was my Great Grandfather...he and his wife Catherine came to U.S from Poland via Ellis Island and are registered/inscribed on the "Wall of Honor."....Catherine passed away not too long afterwards.....They settled in Eastern Ohio...Blaine, Ohio....where he worked as a coalminer and raised (I believe) 7 children (Mary, Francis, Rose, Frank, Anne, Stella, (Wild Bill) William) on his own..........

When we used to go visit him.....he and I used to go for walks in the garden.....don't remember any talking, just holding on to one of his big fingers.....One night, after supper, standing on the back porch.....he took his teeth out to clean them....that looked neat to me....so I tried to take mine out.....he looked down at me and said...."you'll have to wait til you grow up.".........Well, he didn't lie....I can take my teeth out now.
